Dr. Julia Böhm

Julia Böhm has been active in the IP field since 2020. Julia Böhm’s areas of expertise comprise the fields of molecular biology, preclinical drug research, (epi)genomics and proteomics.

During her diploma thesis in molecular biology at the department of Epigenetics, University of Saarland , Julia Böhm studied epigenetic changes in colon cancer using next generation sequencing (NGS) and bioinformatics. In her Ph.D. thesis at the Max Delbrück Center for Molecular Medicine (MDC) Berlin her research focused on the LC-mass spectrometry (LC-MS)-based analysis of protein-protein interaction networks in blood cancer. During her postdoctoral research studies at the Children's Cancer Institute (CCI) / University of New South Wales (UNSW) Sydney, Australia, she combined her expertise in bioinformatics, NGS and LC-MS to identify biomarkers and characterize novel treatments against pediatric high-risk leukemia.

Julia joined Hertin & Partner in 2021 working in the area of patent, design, and trademark law.
