Dr. Julia Müller
Julia Müller is a patent attorney and provides support in the fields of patent, trademark and design law. She brings her scientific background in the fields of biochemistry and biotechnology, in particular protein biochemistry and immunology, molecular biology and microbiology. The focus of her work is on assisting in European and German patent application proceedings, opposition proceedings and patent litigation, as well as the preparation of patent infringement and validity opinions.
Julia Müller advises public research institutions as well as national and international companies on all aspects of intellectual property.
Julia Müller studied biochemistry with a focus on immunology, organic chemistry and molecular biology at the University and Medical School of Hannover. As part of her doctoral studies, she investigated the role of post-translational modifications of the transmembrane protein Delta in the Notch signaling pathway. The doctorate was followed by a post-doctoral position at the German Cancer Research Center in Heidelberg. There she investigated the role of a transmembrane protein in the development and progression of glioblastomas.
Dr. Müller joined the law firm Hertin & Partner in May 2022. After her training in intellectual property law, in particular in various areas of international patent law, she was admitted to practice as a patent attorney in 2015 and has been practicing patent law since then.
